CANCELLATION & FINANCIAL POLICY

PAYMENT TERMS POLICY:

Payment is to be made immediately following your scheduled treatment. If, in the event that payment is not made on that day you will receive a billing statement for all personal balances due. If we have not received a response from you by phone or received a payment or letter regarding your unpaid balance within 14 days, your account will be charged an interest rate of 1.5% per month thereafter.

*** Foot Centre Group understands that temporary and unexpected financial problems do arise. We encourage you to contact us immediately for assistance in managing your account.

We accept

  • Cash, EFTPOS, Credit Card
  • DVA
  • Medicare (Enhanced Primary care plans)
  • Workcover and Motor Vehicle Compensation

We have HICAPS which allows us to claim directly from your health fund. Most health funds cover podiatry but the coverage and therefore the ‘gap’ will vary with each health fund.

MISSED APPOINTMENT/CANCELLATION POLICY:

Foot Centre Group operates a cancellation policy, our policy is similar to many other medical clinics and we kindly ask all patients to adhere to it. We understand that life is unpredictable and you may not always be able to make your scheduled appointment. If you can’t make an appointment please contact our reception at least 24 hours prior to cancel or arrange for another time.

If you miss or cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice you may be charged the full cost of your appointment.

ARRIVING FOR YOU APPOINTMENT:

Please try to arrive on time for your appointment, you are welcome to arrive early and make use of our waiting room. If you arrive late for your appointment the time of your treatment session may be reduced if we have other patients scheduled after your appointment. If you arrive later than 10 minutes for your scheduled appointment you may be asked to reschedule if insufficient time remains to carry out the required treatment.

THIRD PARTY INSURANCE CLAIMS:

All third party claims (Workcover/TAC etc) are to be paid in full – it is the responsibility of the patient for their own reimbursement. We are more than happy to assist you with any information required in your claim.

ENHANCED PRIMARY CARE PLAN REFERRALS:

Foot Centre group accepts EPC referral through Medicare.This means that we will send your claim to Medicare as a courtesy to our patients. Full payment is required for EPC consultations at time of consultation.

REFERRALS/AUTHORISATIONS:

It is the patient’s responsibility to obtain all referrals required. We will do all we can to assist you, but it is ultimately your responsibility. If a required referral is NOT in place on the day of your appointment we may reschedule the appointment until it is received, alternatively payment will be required according to our current fee schedule.
