Meet Podiatrist Jarrad Mattheson
Jarrad, a seasoned professional in the field of podiatry and sports science, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to The Foot Centre Group. Graduating from Latrobe University in 2011, he embarked on a journey that has taken him through diverse settings, from private practice to renowned hospitals.
Most notably, Jarrad spent the last four years of his career in London, where he worked at one of the major hospitals, Guys and St Thomas’. There, he collaborated closely with orthopaedic and vascular surgeons, tackling complex cases and contributing to the well-being of numerous patients.
During his time in London, Jarrad’s expertise extended beyond traditional podiatry. For one year, he had the privilege of serving as a sprint coach and podiatrist for British athletics. His dedication and guidance were instrumental in helping two of athletes achieve their dreams by competing in the Olympics. Further to this he was the Podiatrist for the women’s Bobsled in Britian for the most recent winter Olympics.
Jarrad’s professional journey has been driven by a profound passion for sports injuries, running biomechanics, and performance enhancement. Eager to expand his knowledge and capabilities, he recently completed a Master’s degree in Exercise Science, further solidifying his expertise in these areas.
In addition to his professional achievements, Jarrad has a personal history in sports, having played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) for seven years. This unique blend of personal and professional experiences allows him to connect with athletes and individuals seeking to optimize their physical performance on a deeper level.
