Josh Hidalgo is a friendly and approachable podiatrist who’s passionate about helping people move better and stay active. Originally from New Zealand, Josh moved to Melbourne early in his career and has loved becoming part of the local community.
Josh has a strong interest in musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry, regularly treating conditions such as heel pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathies and running-related injuries. He enjoys the problem-solving side of podiatry and works closely with patients to create clear, practical treatment plans focused on long-term results — not just short-term relief. Whether you’re training for an event, getting back into running, or simply want to walk pain-free, Josh tailors care to your individual goals.
While he has a particular interest in MSK and sports injuries, Josh also welcomes patients of all ages and concerns — from ingrown toenails and general foot pain to chronic conditions requiring ongoing care.
Outside the clinic, Josh enjoys running and strength training, with goals of completing a HYROX event and a marathon this year. His personal involvement in sport helps him understand the physical and mental challenges of training, allowing him to genuinely connect with active patients and those looking to return to exercise.
Known for his calm, easygoing manner and clear communication, Josh takes pride in building long-term relationships and ensuring every patient feels confident, supported, and cared for.
