Meet Podiatrist Samantha Woodland
Sam is an experienced podiatrist who has grown up in the Bayside area. Sam graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Practice. She has completed further study in dry needling, biomechanical courses and also works as a Personal Trainer. Having worked at a specialty shoe store she has an extensive knowledge of footwear and the impact it has on the feet.
Sam competes in Ironman, placing first in her age group and qualifying for the World Championships in Kona, Hawaii for 2019. She has also completed 5 Oxfam Trailwalkers, marathons and participated in a variety of sports. The knowledge gained from her endurance training background has given her the passion for rehabilitation programs and injury prevention to ensure people are performing at their optimum in all sporting pursuits. Not to mention she loves a challenge to prevent blisters with numerous tips and tricks she has trialled and tested.
If you don’t find Sam at work, you will find her out on the road cycling, running or perhaps even swimming. And in off season hiking or testing out a new recipe in the kitchen.
