Looking for Shockwave therapy
Here at Foot Centre Group we like to keep our valued clients up to date with the latest technology and treatment that we offer.
Shockwave therapy has amazing success and many published scientific studies that demonstrate this as a safe treatment option with positive outcomes.
How does it work?
Shockwave therapy involves the delivery of high intensity ultrasound waves through a special hand piece. The energy promotes regeneration and reparative effects to bones, muscles and other structures. The result of shockwave is improved blood flow and healing capability in the damaged tissue, and a significant reduction in pain.
What can I expect in a Shock Wave treatment session?
Each treatment session lasts approximately 20 – 30 minutes where your podiatrist will apply the shock wave energy to the target area. This involves positioning the shock wave therapy hand piece onto the injured area to allow the unit to gently and extensively transmit shock waves deep into that region.
What does it cost?
The Shockwave treatment fee is included with your regular Podiatry consultation – meaning no extra cost.
