Rhys is an enthusiastic bayside local, who has previously worked across the Mornington Peninsula before joining the Foot Centre Group in 2018. Rhys graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Practice and he has an extremely comforting and warm nature which patients love. Having played at the VFL level with Sandringham in Australian Rules Football and continuing to perform strongly in the AFL arena, Rhys brings to the team a passion for lower limb strength assessment, rehabilitation programs and injury prevention to ensure any person is performing at their optimum in their sporting pursuits. Rhys has worked with former and current VFL and AFL players focusing on their biomechanics and alignment, by designing custom made orthotics suitable for their football boots. Rhys has also developed a strong interest in the “high risk foot”, working on reducing complications and healing wounds due to poor peripheral circulation and/or diabetes at both the Alfred and Caufield hospitals high risk foot clinics. In his spare time Rhys is an avid follower of the St Kilda football club, enjoys a spot of fishing and an occasional round of golf.
